FrequentUnderstanding Central Tendency (Mean, Median, Mode)
The Mean (The Share-Fair Average)
Imagine combining all the data points together into one big pile, and then sharing that pile out equally to each member. You calculate this by **adding all numbers up**, then **dividing by the count** of numbers in the set.
The Median (The Road Middle)
The absolute value sitting in the **center physical position** when items are sorted linearly. If your data size is an even count, there isn't a single center value, so you find the average of the two middle numbers.
The Mode (The Popular Champion)
The number or values that **show up most frequently** across your observations. If all numbers appear an equal number of times, there is no mode. If multiple items share the highest frequency, the set is multimodal.
